Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri issued stern McLaren warning after Singapore clash
xCruzo Brief
McLaren CEO Zak Brown said Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri received a stern warning after a last-lap clash in the Formula 1 Sprint Race in Singapore. Norris was running fourth ahead of the Sunday Grand Prix when he began moving aggressively on his team mate’s position during the 20-lap sprint on a partly damp track. The move came at Turn 5, with Norris attempting a pass up the inside that prompted Piastri’s car to spin and face backwards, nearly collecting by Racing Bulls’ Liam Lawson. Norris restarted and finished eighth for a point, while Piastri retired. After Sunday’s race, Brown told reporters McLaren lost eight Constructors’ Championship points and emphasized the team’s need to correct mistakes.
