Learn how to save money on gas at US Drive Electric Month events, all Sept.
Drive Electric Month begins this week with more than 150 online and in-person events running through September, in most US states and one in Canada, with a few extending into October. Now in its 16th year, the campaign—organized by Plug In America, the Electric Vehicle Association, EVHybridNoire, Drive Electric USA, and the Sierra Club—aims to connect prospective EV buyers with current owners through direct conversations and networking rather than dealership-only interactions. Events range from small parking-lot meetups and local parades to larger festivals with booths and live entertainment. Organizers provide a map and event list, and attendees are directed to check each page for vehicle types and registration details. Examples include Louisville VegFest on September 12, National Drive Electric Month in Poolesville, Maryland on September 19, and an Enfield, North Carolina EV showcase on the same date.
