Lewis Hamilton's father to sell collection of 27 classic cars for £3m
Lewis Hamilton’s father, Anthony Hamilton, 66, will sell his collection of 27 classic cars at auction next month, with the entire lot valued at just over £3 million. The catalogue includes 23 vehicles made in the UK, three Mercedes models, and one eighties performance BMW saloon. A headline lot is a 1993 Jaguar XJ220 with 3,800 miles and full service documentation, carrying a pre-sale guide up to £550,000 and expected to sell around half a million pounds. Also offered is a recreation of Jaguar’s ultra-rare XKSS, priced at £375,000. The Jaguars include multiple E-Types and two C-type “continuation” cars replicating XKC001 and XKC003, estimated at £225,000 each. The Mercedes lineup ranges from a 1960 190 SL (up to £120,000) to a 2013 C63 AMG Edition 507 (around £38,000).
