Lexus crashes through Bergen County nail salon picture window

A white Lexus crossover crashed through the front picture window of a nail salon on North Maple Avenue shortly after 11 a.m. Thursday, shattering glass across the floor and scattering debris outside. Witness accounts said the vehicle tore into the storefront, knocking down chairs before plowing into an interior support column, where it stopped. Police officers and firefighters stayed on scene until the damaged crossover was removed on a flatbed truck. The driver declined medical attention, and witnesses said no one inside the salon was injured. Authorities said the cause of the crash and the full extent of the damage were not immediately known, and calls for updates were not returned right away.
