The 2026 Spanish Grand Prix at the new Madring circuit entered its key running on Friday with the second and final free practice session. In FP1, George Russell set the pace with a best lap of 1:34.077, ahead of Kimi Antonelli, Charles Leclerc, and Lewis Hamilton. Antonelli’s win at the Italian Grand Prix was described as a major championship swing, leaving him 66 points ahead of Russell, with Hamilton 76 points behind Antonelli and Norris 96 points adrift. The session schedule continues with FP3 at 11:30 BST and qualifying at 15:00 BST, with the race Sunday at 14:00 BST.
