LIVE: Mexico City Grand Prix 2026 UK time, start time, grid, radio & updates

Mexico City Grand Prix day could crown a new Formula 1 world champion. Mercedes’ Kimi Antonelli, 20 and in only his second season, stands on the brink of becoming the sport’s youngest-ever title winner. Sebastian Vettel was 23 when he won his first championship in 2010, while Antonelli would be three years younger. A top-nine finish at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez would be enough for Antonelli to seal the title. He won’t start on pole, because the two drivers who can mathematically block him line up on the front row. Lewis Hamilton took his 105th career pole ahead of George Russell, and either must win Sunday while hoping Antonelli slips up for the championship to carry over to next weekend’s final race in the Brazil triple-header.
