Long Beach woman who went missing while motorcycle riding found dead in remote desert reports that Julie Goforth, 63, has been found dead after going missing while riding a motorcycle in the Mojave Desert earlier in the month. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department confirmed she was discovered in a remote desert area on Thursday at around 12:30 p.m. The family said she left roughly a week earlier to ride her brand-new Kawasaki with a riding buddy. She regularly rode dirt bikes in the El Mirage Dry Lake area off Highway Recreation Area in Adelanto. According to the report, Goforth’s friend said they separated to explore different trails and agreed to meet near a visitor’s center 10 minutes later. When she did not arrive, authorities launched an extensive ground and aerial search. Friends and family posted a $10,000 reward, and officials stated the circumstances of her death are under investigation. Anyone with information was directed to contact Detective Harris.
