Malik Tha Martian Launches Outside Ain't Free Summer Film Tour

Malik Tha Martian is launching the Outside Ain’t Free Summer Film Tour, a 50-minute documentary that aims to broaden Black and Brown representation in outdoor storytelling. The film will screen in Oakland, Detroit, Chicago and Memphis, moving away from festival circuits to community spaces like the Memphis Slim House and the National Civil Rights Museum.

Conceived by photojournalist Malik Martin, the project seeks to empower underrepresented communities to explore nature’s healing power, with showings planned at local climbing gyms and libraries to reach audiences who historically haven’t seen themselves in outdoor cinema.
