A 25-year-old man died after an SUV collided with a pickup truck at an uncontrolled rural intersection in Manitoba on Tuesday night, according to RCMP. Police said officers were called at about 8:20 p.m. to the crossing of Road 51 W. and Road 94 N., east of Langruth, in the rural municipality of WestLake-Gladstone, roughly 55 kilometres northwest of Portage la Prairie. RCMP reported the pickup was found in a ditch with a hydro pole leaning against it, while the SUV lay on its side about five metres away. The SUV was traveling south on Road 51 W. when it struck the westbound pickup on Road 94 N. The driver, from WestLake-Gladstone, was taken to hospital but later died, while the other driver, a 72-year-old man, suffered minor injuries. Investigators are still determining the cause.
