Man killed in motorcycle crash near Craters of the Moon

A 65-year-old man died after crashing his motorcycle near Craters of the Moon National Monument and Preserve in Butte County, Idaho. The rider was traveling on a 2022 Harley-Davidson south on U.S. Highway 93 shortly before noon when he lost control, veered off the roadway, and came to rest in lava rocks. He died at the scene, and the Idaho State Police say he was wearing a helmet. The crash is under investigation, and police have not released additional details at this time.
