Man killed in northern Idaho motorcycle crash

A 61-year-old man from Kamiah was killed Sunday afternoon in a head-on collision involving his motorcycle and a sport-utility vehicle on U.S. Highway 12, according to Idaho State Police. The crash occurred around 4 p.m. at milepost 70 near Kamiah. Investigators said a 54-year-old woman, also from Kamiah, was driving a white 2015 Jeep Cherokee west on U.S. 12 when it collided head-on with a Harley-Davidson motorcycle traveling east. The motorcyclist died at the scene from injuries. The victim’s name was not released, next of kin were notified, and the highway was intermittently blocked for about four hours while emergency crews responded and investigators worked the scene.
