Marc Marquez cruises to Germany MotoGP Grand Prix victory
Marc Marquez won the German MotoGP Grand Prix on Sunday at the Sachsenring, tying Giacomo Agostini’s record of 10 premier-class wins on a single circuit. Starting from pole, the Spaniard took a dominant victory on his Ducati, finishing 1.996 seconds ahead of Aprilia-Trackhouse rider Ai Ogura. Raul Fernandez, riding for Spanish teammate Aprilia-Trackhouse, completed the podium after competing through the early exchanges. The seven-time world champion also said the weekend was “super, super happy” and described the race as essential to his championship chances, noting he needed to attack at Sachsenring to keep title hopes alive. With the victory, Marquez closed the gap to 18 points behind compatriot Jorge Martin, who finished fifth. Early on, Marquez fought with his brother Alex Marquez until Alex slid off after 10 laps.
