Marc Marquez doesn't dismiss favourite tag for Aragon GP: 'I can fight for victory'

Marc Marquez didn’t rule himself out as a favorite for victory at this weekend’s Aragon Grand Prix, saying he has the potential to beat Aprilia. The Ducati Team rider admitted he needs to “strike back” after Aprilia opened a lead in the championship, highlighted by a dominant weekend at Silverstone where seven of the first 12 grands prix were won by Aprilia. Marquez pointed to his strong record on anti-clockwise tracks such as Balaton Park, Sachsenring and Aragon, and said he plans to finish ahead of Aprilia to stay in the title hunt for a possible record-extending eighth win.
