Marc Marquez sets fitness target for upcoming MotoGP summer break
Marc Marquez sets fitness target for upcoming MotoGP summer break centers on his plan to return fully fit after winning Germany and approaching the summer break with training focused on his still-troubled right arm. The German GP winner rose from fifth to third in the standings after scoring the full quota of 37 points at the Sachsenring on Sunday, while acknowledging his body is not back to normal. Although he has won three of the last four races, he says two victories came on less physical tracks—Balaton and Sachsenring—while his Czech GP win required pushing himself to exhaustion. Marquez wants a sustained training rhythm during the break because he cannot train every day due to recovery needs. He also referenced stress from the early part of 2025 linked to an issue from a prior operation, corrected with surgery in May. He said he lives in Madrid partly for specialized training equipment.
