Marc Marquez will try to "survive" Dutch GP after back-to-back MotoGP wins
Marc Marquez will try to “survive” the Dutch GP by managing risk at Assen after back-to-back MotoGP wins, according to his comments ahead of the 2026 event. The factory Ducati rider heads into the 10th round of the 2026 season following Sunday victories at Balaton Park and Brno. Despite momentum, he does not expect the same pace in the Netherlands, finishing Friday in sixth place, three tenths off the outright benchmark, and also suffering a small crash at Turn 16 during FP1. Marquez said his aim is simply to limit the damage after finding the 4.54 km TT Circuit difficult, noting the speed, direction changes, and narrow layout punish even minor errors. He added that he felt better at Turn 1 than T2 to T4. Marquez, who has won at Assen three times, referenced last year’s challenging conditions and hopes for rain.
