Marquez storms to Czech MotoGP victory with late pass on Bagnaia
Marquez’s late pass secured a dramatic MotoGP win at Brno, strengthening Ducati’s push in the Czech Grand Prix on Sunday. Marc Marquez, a seven-time champion riding for Ducati, started fourth and shadowed teammate Francesco Bagnaia before making the decisive overtake on lap 16. He then pulled clear to win after a controlled final stint, following a July-style sprint-to-sprint momentum that added a second consecutive victory after earlier triumph in Hungary. Bagnaia finished third after failing to respond; polesitter Ai Ogura of Trackhouse Racing took second, 0.421 seconds behind. The result leaves Marquez fourth in the standings, 40 points behind leader Marco Bezzecchi. The weekend followed Bagnaia’s teammate Fabio Di Giannantonio fourth and KTM’s Pedro Acosta retiring on the final lap due to a technical issue.
