Marquez wins Japanese GP to cut Martin's lead
xCruzo Brief
Marc Marquez won the Japanese MotoGP Grand Prix at Motegi for his fourth time, completing a sprint-race double and cutting Jorge Martin’s championship advantage to two points. After Saturday’s sprint saw severe degradation on the soft rear tyres, every rider switched to hard rears for Sunday’s race, making the opening laps cautious. Martin led off the start and looked comfortable for the first eight laps until Marquez seized an inside opening on lap 11. The reigning champion then controlled to the flag, finishing ahead of Aprilia’s Martin and Marco Bezzecchi. Bezzecchi held third, while Diogo Moreira and Alex Marquez crashed.
