Matchday 34: Nashville chase points record, New England seek statement & more!

Matchday 34 in Major League Soccer features several scenarios for the Audi 2026 MLS Cup Playoffs, with six teams able to clinch spots this weekend. St. Louis CITY SC hosts San Diego FC in the “Walmart Saturday Showdown” after a historic 21-game unbeaten run and a US Open Cup win, though St. Louis has been winless in four league matches and is at risk of losing a top-four Western Conference position. Nashville SC, fresh off winning the Supporters’ Shield, chases the MLS single-season points record against Red Bull New York. Nashville has 71 points and a win would match Inter Miami’s all-time mark of 74 from 2024. New England Revolution can secure the Eastern No. 2 seed versus Inter Miami with a win or draw, with Carles Gil leading 13 goals and 13 assists.
