Motorcyclist in critical condition after crash with bus in Ottawa County

A crash involving a motorcycle and a bus left a motorcyclist in critical condition in Ottawa County, Michigan, prompting an ongoing investigation. Police said deputies responded at 10:21 a.m. on Friday, July 3, to the incident near 8 Avenue and Roosevelt Street in Wright Township. The motorcycle was ridden by a 22-year-old man from Coopersville, traveling southbound on 8th Avenue. Authorities reported that a 35-year-old man from Conklin was driving a large bus westbound on Roosevelt Street and stopped at the stop sign, attempting to cross 8 Avenue, according to witnesses. The motorcyclist struck the bus and was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. The intersection remained closed due to cleanup and the investigation.
