Motorcyclist killed after crashing into tree near intersection, Cobb County police say

A motorcyclist died after crashing into a tree near a Marietta intersection in Cobb County, Georgia, according to police. The incident occurred on Saturday, July Fourth, just after 2 p.m. on Church Road near the intersection with Saddlebrook Creek Drive. A preliminary investigation found Adrian Villalobos, 23, of Kennesaw, was traveling east on Church Road when, for unknown reasons, he lost control of his 2026 Yamaha YZF890 motorcycle and struck a tree. Villalobos was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said the crash is still under investigation. Anyone with information was urged to contact the Cobb County Police Department STEP Unit.
