Musk vows affordable Starlink in India days before Ambani's record Jio IPO
xCruzo Brief
Elon Musk said he would price Starlink’s satellite internet service affordably in India, aiming to challenge Mukesh Ambani’s low-cost Reliance Jio. The comments come days before Jio Platforms’ parent company is set to launch India’s largest-ever IPO, targeting a $106 billion valuation. Starlink is also awaiting final security clearance, as is Jio’s own satellite venture, with the Indian government saying all three applicants are in the same review stage. Musk has repeatedly accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s administration and Ambani of delaying Starlink’s entry. Reliance declined to comment.
