NASCAR Charlotte qualifying live results, Cup Series starting lineup

NASCAR’s Cup Series race weekend at Charlotte begins Oct. 10 with Bank of America 400 practice and qualifying, though the schedule was moved up by an hour because the weather forecast calls for increasing rain chances by the time Cup practice occurs. The O’Reilly Auto Parts Series practice and qualifying were rained out earlier. Coverage notes qualifying is set for 12:05 p.m. Eastern / 11 a.m. Central on Oct. 10, following Cup practice beginning at 11 a.m. ET / 10 a.m. Central. The article also updates the Chase points picture, saying Kyle Larson has a 40-point lead over Denny Hamlin after recent late-race battles with Chase Briscoe at 1.5-mile ovals.
