NASCAR news: Ryan Blaney, Carson Hocevar throw hands post-Bristol fight

Ryan Blaney and Carson Hocevar turned their Bristol rivalry into a physical fight Saturday night in the NASCAR Cup Series. The confrontation began with 43 laps remaining when Hocevar made contact with Blaney while they raced for second. Blaney, who led 202 laps and won Stage 2, was sent into the outside wall in his No. 12 Team Penske Ford and finished 33rd. After being evaluated and released from the infield care center, Blaney walked to Hocevar’s No. 77 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet on pit road. Hocevar grabbed Blaney’s fire suit and threw two punches; security intervened and separated them.
