More than 43,000 Toyota cars recalled as engines reportedly stall

More than 43,000 Toyota pickup trucks have been recalled due to engine debris that could cause stalling, according to Toyota and the NHTSA. The recall covers non-hybrid 2024 Toyota Tundra models, with 43,566 trucks affected and an estimated 1% actually harboring the defect. The recall was announced on May 20, and owners will be notified between July 6 and July 20. Toyota notes that previous recalls in 2024 and 2025 also addressed debris in engines, and the affected engines were produced with additional controls for debris removal.
