Nissan's Qashqai e-Power Went 1,230 Miles Without Charging Or Refueling | Carscoops

Nissan says its Qashqai e-Power has set a Guinness World Record for the longest journey by a non-plug-in extended-range electric SUV, covering 1,230 miles (1,980 km) without charging or refueling. The attempt took place in Colombia from July 14 to 17, running from Bogota, at 8,660 feet (2,640 meters) above sea level, down to the Caribbean coast. The company provided few route and efficiency details, but Nissan noted the benefits of downhill sections for regenerative braking. Power comes from a 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder making 154 hp, which generates electricity for a 2.1 kWh battery that feeds an 188 hp electric motor.
