Oldest' surviving Rolls-Royce returns for London-Brighton car run

A 1904 Rolls-Royce—believed to be the oldest surviving example of the marque—will return to British roads for the first time in decades at the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run. The car, chassis 20154, is scheduled to appear at the St James’s Motoring Spectacle in London before taking part in the annual 60-mile (96.56km) event on 1 November. The Royal Automobile Club says it has completed a three-year restoration. Owner Terry Bramall acquired it more than three years ago and carried out extensive research to restore it in detail. The RAC’s Duncan Wiltshire called it especially significant because it is the only known pre-1905 Rolls-Royce eligible for the run.
