Over 105K Toyota SUVs recalled due to dangerous fuel leak possibility
xCruzo Brief
Toyota is recalling 105,794 Land Cruiser SUVs because a fuel tube connection near the fuel tank may disconnect, creating a potential fuel leak. The defect applies to certain 2024–2027 model vehicles, according to documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. If fuel leaks, the recall warns it increases the risk of a fire. Toyota has received 64 warranty claims related to the issue, but has not stated whether any injuries or fires have occurred. Dealers will inspect the connection and, if needed, install a supplemental clamp or replace the resin fuel tube and add the clamp at no owner cost. Toyota expects to mail owner letters starting Nov. 29.
