A San Jose pedestrian struck by a car earlier this month has died days later, police said. Officers responded on Aug. 4 just after noon to a vehicle-versus-pedestrian collision at the intersection of Tully Road and Lucretia Avenue. Police said a woman driving a Nissan Sentra was traveling westbound on Tully Road and turned right into Lucretia Avenue, hitting a man crossing Lucretia in a marked crosswalk. The man was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries but was later stabilized. The driver remained at the scene and was cooperative. On Sunday, the pedestrian died; the man’s identity was not released. The department said it was the 14th pedestrian death in San Jose this year.
