Pickup and motorcycle collide in Grand Forks, resulting in injuries

A collision between a city-owned pickup and a motorcycle left the rider injured, highlighting traffic-safety concerns at a busy Grand Forks intersection. On Monday, June 8, shortly before 11 a.m., at South Columbia Road and 62nd Avenue South, a 24-year-old woman driving a Chevrolet Silverado was southbound and turning east onto 62nd. A 2007 Honda motorcycle ridden by a 25-year-old man northbound on Columbia struck the Silverado's rear passenger side. The motorcyclist sustained significant injuries and was transported to Altru Hospital by ambulance, while the Silverado driver was uninjured. Grand Forks Police did not release names and asked for information at 701-787-8000.
