Prestwick skating star Lewis Gibson handed two ISU Grand Prix starts

Prestwick’s Lewis Gibson will compete in two rounds of the 2026/27 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, highlighting Britain’s elite ice dance team with Lilah Fear. The pair will open the autumn series at Skate Canada in British Columbia from October 30 to November 1, followed by the Cup of China in Shenzhen, November 6–8. The duo arrive as Britain’s most decorated ice dance team after winning bronze at the 2025 World Championships, Britain's first in the event in more than four decades, and earning Grand Prix Final bronze in 2024 and 2025. With Milano Cortina 2026 on the horizon, their momentum positions them for a potential spot at Chongqing’s Grand Prix Final in December, as the ISU Grand Prix remains the sport’s flagship autumn circuit.
