Quinlan ISD names 2026 Hall of Fame inductees

Quinlan ISD will honor two new inductees into its Alumni Hall of Fame during a ceremony on Nov. 5 at Ford High School. The school district selected Rebeka Smith Ecker, a 1983 Quinlan High School graduate, and Phillip Clifton Garrett, an agricultural teacher who worked in the district from 1998 to 2017. The event is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. in the Ford High School auditorium. Ecker’s background includes education and administration roles with multiple Texas institutions and leadership in child and family advocacy. Garrett, who died in 2017, will be inducted posthumously for his contributions to agricultural education, including multiple teaching honors and community roles.
