Renault Group plans to invest more than €10 billion in France over the next five years, targeting electric vehicles and more affordable cars, CEO François Provost said on Saturday. He pointed to prior spending of €13 billion in the previous five years to reshape its industrial footprint toward electrification. Renault also expects production growth at French plants, with 500,000 cars produced in France in 2025 and at least 25% more output in 2026 as EVs rise. Provost noted EVs hit a record 42% of new car registrations in France in September, with demand aided by higher fuel prices. The CEO linked the outlook to social and political conditions.
