Ryan Blaney Speaks About Racing Carson Hocevar After Bristol Brawl

Ryan Blaney says he expects no major change in how he races Carson Hocevar after their post-race clash last Saturday at Bristol. After the NASCAR Cup Series Bass Pro Shops Night Race, Blaney and Hocevar traded blows on pit road, following on-track contact with 43 laps remaining that sent Blaney into a spin and crash into the wall. Blaney finished with a DNF in 33rd, while Hocevar came home third. Speaking on Denny Hamlin’s “Actions Detrimental” podcast on Monday, Blaney said the incident was 50/50 and both could have done better. He added he and Hocevar haven’t had major on-track issues in a year to 18 months, and plans to race hard again as usual. Hocevar and Spire Motorsports echoed that they’ve had limited problems recently at Atlanta and elsewhere.
