xCruzo Brief
A 55-year-old man from Saranac died Tuesday evening after losing control of his motorcycle and colliding with a pickup truck on M-91 in Eureka Township. The Montcalm County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were called at about 5:31 p.m. to S. Greenville Road (M-91) near River Run Trail for a crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup. Investigators determined the rider was traveling southbound on a 2003 Harley-Davidson when he negotiated a curve, crossed the center line, and struck a northbound 2022 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 59-year-old man from Marne. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene; the pickup driver was uninjured. Speed and alcohol were not believed to be factors, and the rider was not wearing a helmet.
