Slate reveals pricing for its affordable electric pickup
Slate Auto has revealed pricing for its affordable electric pickup, with the Blank Slate edition starting at $24,950, excluding destination charges, taxes and other potential fees. The company said federal credits that it expected would have pushed the price below $20,000 are no longer available due to the “Big Beautiful Bill,” leaving the revised base price as the entry point. For that money, the truck is offered with a slightly larger-than-previously announced 63 kWh battery and 205 miles of EPA range. The powertrain includes a single rear-mounted 135 kW motor rated at 181 hp, with 20–80% DC fast charging in 30 minutes and an estimated 0–60 mph time of eight seconds. Slate also claims up to a 1,550 lb max payload and roughly 2,000 lb towing. Deliveries are set to begin in the fourth quarter, after 180,000 reservations.
