After a week with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8, the biggest takeaway is that its cover screen finally delivers real utility. The FlexWindow display can now run 16 apps out of the box, including Google Maps, plus tools like Calculator and Calendar. Samsung says this makes the phone easier to use on the outside screen, which was previously limited to notifications and small widgets unless you installed Good Lock and other workarounds. The two screens also look excellent and the camera system is strong for the “flip” category, while battery performance is described as great. Still, the Flip 8 adds AI features the reviewer questions and costs $1,200, up $100 versus before.
