Supercar Suspension in $28K EV: BYD's DiSus-M Makes Its Mass-Market Debut
xCruzo Brief
BYD’s Fang Cheng Bao launched its Formula S sedan in Shanghai on September 16, pairing mainstream pricing with a suspension system that previously lived in supercars and other high-end performance cars. The Formula S series becomes the first mass-market production line to offer BYD’s DiSus-M intelligent magnetorheological (MR) suspension, starting from ¥209,900 (about $31,040). Lower trims begin at ¥189,900 (about $28,080) with the DiSus-C intelligent damping system. DiSus-M is priced the same as the standard DiSus-A air suspension option for variants ¥209,900 and up, so customers choosing that bracket aren’t paying a separate premium for the technology.
