Teenager, 17, dies in two-car crash as man arrested

A 17-year-old died in a two-car crash in Fife, Scotland, as a man was arrested in connection with the incident. Police closed the B914 near Kelty, at its junction with the A823, after a crash involving a yellow Volkswagen Golf and a blue Toyota Aygo around 2:25 a.m. on Sunday. The 17-year-old male, the driver of the Toyota, was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers carried out inquiries to locate the occupants of the Volkswagen because they were not at the site when police arrived. An 18-year-old man has since been arrested. Sergeant Lee Walkingshaw said investigators are seeking witnesses and anyone with dash-cam footage, referencing 0511 of 5 July, 2026.
