Dacia says the “magic button” used most often in its cars is the physical switch that silences advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) beeps and warnings. Dacia CEO Katrin Adt told Autocar that the “My Safety” button lets drivers deactivate certain assistance features while driving and quickly restore preferred settings. Her comments come as Dacia argues European regulation is making it harder for small, low-cost cars to stay affordable. The brand says it has already handled about 100 EU rules and expects another 107 by 2030, with roughly a quarter of R&D spending going to compliance. Dacia and other automakers are seeking a regulatory freeze for small cars.
