The Lexus LFA electric supercar debuts with a fake V-8 roar [Video] reports that Toyota’s luxury brand is reviving the LFA nameplate as a fully electric model. The LFA EV made its debut at Goodwood Festival of Speed over the weekend, showing a low-slung silhouette and a prototype that simulated a V-8 soundtrack during the hillclimb. Lexus says the concept shown in December was its “vision for a next-generation electric sports car,” and the program is being developed alongside Toyota’s GR GT and GR GT3 race cars, sharing most structural components while replacing the V8 with a battery-electric drivetrain. Although Toyota has not provided full specifications, the EV is expected to be the first with long-awaited solid-state batteries. Production is described as “almost finished” and scheduled for 2027. Inside, it features a yoke-style steering wheel, paddle shifters, and an immersive digital cockpit. Dimensions were given for the LFA EV Concept.
