The Corvette, costing about $100,000, suffered treatment similar to a pickup job: it plowed into a gate, hit construction barricades, and went through fire hoses during driveway testing. Most systems held up, including electronics after getting soaked, but problems emerged in tasks where a Silverado would normally handle the work without fuss. The Z06’s 5.5-liter LT6 V8 is rated at 670 hp at 8,400 rpm and 460 lb-ft at 6,300 rpm.
