Trump says U.S. military strike killed leader of Tren de Aragua. The president claimed a 'swift and lethal kinetic' operation eliminated Hector Rusthenford Guerrero Flores, known as Niño Guerrero, described as the gang’s infamous head. Tren de Aragua is designated a terrorist organization by the United States. A strike reportedly targeted a compound in Venezuela.

Guerrero Flores had been charged in New York with racketeering conspiracy and other crimes spanning over a decade. U.S. Attorney Jay Clayton had offered up to $5 million for information to arrest him. Trump said Tren de Aragua terrorists no longer have safe haven and promised more actions; Venezuela did not respond immediately.
