Ukraine motorcycle sales jump 11% in Aug - experts

Ukraine’s motorcycle market grew modestly in August 2026, up 10.8% versus August 2025, reaching 9,516 units, according to the Automotive Market Research Institute (AMRI). The figure was still 15.5% lower than July 2026, with 1,748 fewer motorcycles sold month-to-month. New motorcycles fell by 1,087 units, domestic resales declined by 421, and imported used motorcycles dropped by 240. Despite the month-to-month slide, domestic resales—36.4% of the market—rose 28.5% year-over-year to 3,468 units. Registrations of imported used bikes totaled 718 (down 25.1% from July) while new motorcycles, the largest segment at 56%, totaled 5,330. Electric motorcycles remained a niche with six units, or 0.1% of total sales.
