Uzbekistan carmakers sell 146,361 vehicles in five months
Uzbekistani carmakers sold 146,361 vehicles in the first five months of 2026, according to statistics from the UzAutoSanaot association covering January to May. UzAuto Motors led the market with 69,001 units, representing a 47.1% share. UzAuto Khorezm followed with 45,756 sales and a 31.3% market stake, while ADM Jizzakh placed third with 17,417 vehicles (11.9%). BYD Uzbekistan Factory recorded 13,700 units (9.4%), with smaller volumes from Samarqand Avtomobil Zavodi (386, 0.3%) and Asaka Motors (101, 0.1%). By segment, B-class sedans accounted for 35.3% of sales, followed by light commercial vehicles at 31.4% and SUV-B off-road vehicles at 21.5%. Chevrolet was the top brand with 114,757 vehicles. The most in-demand model was the Cobalt with 35,245 units, ahead of the Damas (29,743) and the Tracker (16,924).
