Video shows woman intentionally ran over puppy with minivan, California police say

Santa Ana police are investigating a video in which authorities say a woman intentionally ran over and killed a pitbull mix. The incident was captured on home surveillance posted Wednesday, Sept. 30, and the dog was found in the street across from 926 W. Park Ln. on Sept. 8. Police said it happened around 9:15 a.m.; footage shows a driver in an older-model Honda Odyssey stopping, opening the door, and placing the dog on the ground. The dog goes under the minivan as the driver lays down food, then the driver moves forward until the rear driver-side tire runs over the dog, keeping the vehicle stopped for about 15 seconds before driving away.
