We'll be right behind you': Silvio Valletta told Yorgen Fenech in shocking messages shown to jury
A jury trial involving yacht captain Logan Wood heard further details through WhatsApp messages in the case of businessman Yorgen Fenech in Malta. During cross-examination, defense lawyer Giannella De Marco referenced a message sent on 23 January 2019, in which Fenech told Wood he was seeing a therapist and that he trusted only two people, including Wood and Charlene. Wood confirmed the message was sent and said the yacht’s annual service was routine and arranged in advance. He also agreed that leaving early that morning was his decision due to favorable weather, told Port Control before departure, and said the yacht’s AIS tracking was initially on but later switched off after Fenech requested deactivation. Prosecutors questioned Wood further on how Fenech appeared before his arrest.
