West Belfast: Two men charged after police patrol car rammed repeatedly

Two men have been charged after police said two officers were injured when a car repeatedly rammed a PSNI patrol vehicle in west Belfast. The incident occurred just before midnight on Tuesday, after officers on patrol spotted a silver Nissan Juke driving at high speed on the Glen Road. Police said both officers attended hospital for treatment on Wednesday morning. Following the arrest of two men after the crash, one suspect, 39, faces charges including dangerous driving, driving without a licence, driving uninsured, attempted grievous bodily harm with intent, and failing to provide a specimen while driving unfit. The second suspect, 44, has been charged with possession of a Class A controlled drug. Both are expected to appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 23 September.
