Woman arrested at scene of serious motorcycle crash in New Bedford
A serious motorcycle crash in New Bedford, Massachusetts, left the motorcyclist with critical injuries Friday night. Police said crews responded just before 10 p.m. to the intersection of Walnut Street and S. Sixth Street after reports of a crash involving a car and a motorcycle. The rider was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital and then airlifted to Rhode Island Hospital, according to police. The car’s driver was not injured. While officers investigated, a 28-year-old woman repeatedly entered the taped-off area despite being told to leave, became disorderly and interfered with the investigation. She was charged with disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, and interfering with a police officer/investigation; no charges were filed related to the crash itself.
