Woman Quoted $7,500 For Land Rover Part. Then She Has Her Dad Call The Dealership And Ask For A Price Check

A Texas woman, Ashlee (@findingashlee), says a Land Rover dealership quoted her $7,500 for a part related to a 2013 Range Rover oil-drip repair, then gave her father a much lower $2,500 price for the same work after he asked for a check. In a TikTok posted as a complaint, she said she took the vehicle about two years ago to Land Rover Austin near 100,000 miles, where she was told she needed a part costing $7,500. After calling her father, she said he contacted the dealership through a different service writer and received the $2,500 quote. She claims the dealership later honored the lower price once she raised the discrepancy. She said she filed a formal complaint with Land Rover USA and received a $1,000 credit for the dealership, which she used in May 2024 for four tires. This month, she reports the Range Rover began shaking and a tire went flat, and a Discount Tire inspection found two unsafe tires with bulges and tread separation, plus one tire reading as four years old.
