Year Journey Culminates In 1st Career Win For Ryan Sieg at Daytona

Ryan Sieg finally reached Victory Lane at Daytona, winning the Winn-Dixie 250 at Daytona International Speedway in overtime and erasing a 424-start winless streak in NASCAR’s O’Reilly Auto Parts Series. The 39-year-old drove the No. 38 RSS Racing Chevrolet after regulation ended without him leading; a crash involving Rajah Caruth with three laps remaining set up the overtime restart. Sieg capitalized when Carson Kvapil moved up the track and Sieg used pushes involving Austin Hill to take the inside lane. He then controlled the gap through the final two circuits. Austin Hill finished second, Kvapil third, with Anthony Alfredo fourth and Brandon Jones fifth.
